This started as an experiment in combining 2D and 3D images. After rendering a 3D model, I digitally painted on top of it, using the lighting from the model as a reference base. I initially questioned the validity of producing an illustration in this manner, and then I came to the conclusion that it's just another tool, like photo reference or a wooden mannequin. |  |

 The glow and the flowing of the hair was the effect I was looking to achieve in this part of the painting. |
