after dark title This is a feasibility study for a larger scale illustration. The subject involves a wall of plaster relief sculptures that have skeletons embedded in them. The idea would be that the ancient artists horrifically posed the bound bodies of individuals into a composition and then encased them in plaster to create their work.

My most favored element in any illustration is the capturing of implied motion. Elements being stretched, being drawn out by the wind, forcibly exploded, or shattering and having this potential energy being caught at the moment of release in a static image is very powerful for me.
